In some areas of thinking it is believed that by sticking to a certain sexual position or by conceiving a child using that sexual position that it can lead to determining the child’s sex. For a boy :

- If the woman is allowed to initiate intercourse or choose the time when intercourse happens, than it is more likely that a couple will have a girl.
