Alternatives of the Chinese Gender Chart

The gender chart invented by the ancient Chinese, is based on the mother's lunar age and the lunar month when conceived. Many people criticize the chart is illogical as fathers do not involved in the gender of their offspring at all. Scientists tell us that a baby boy receives an X chromosome from his mother and a Y chromosome from his father while baby girls get an X chromosome from each parent. So it is most likely that the father control the baby gender.

Dr. Anil Maheshwari from India, however, has taken a different view. In his article "Myth: Sex of the baby is chosen by the male. Reality: Sex of the baby is chosen by the female", he expressed that when the ovum membrane is positively charged, it will attract the sperm carrying X chromosome and a baby girl is produced, and when the membrane is negatively charged, it will attract the sperm carrying the Y chromosome, and a baby boy is produced. He concluded that

... So would it not be most appropriate to say that it is the female that chooses the gender of the baby and the male only determines the gender of the baby after conception.

Well, the observation from Dr. Anil could be an explanation of the role of women at the Chinese gender prediction chart. Believe it or not, there are at least three more “secret” gender selection methods found from the ancient Chinese literatures. With any one of them, you can find out baby genders only through simple calculation. Gladly, fathers are involved in some of them.

Method 1

Formula :

68 + lunar month when conceived - lunar age of the mother when conceived

Result :

If the result is a single number, then it is a boy. An even number will be a girl.

Example :

Lunar month when conceived is 8 and lunar age of the mother when conceived is 27. Put the two vaiables into the equation 68 + 8 -27 = 49, so it is a boy.

Method 2

Formula :

(Lunar age of the father when conceived + lunar age of the mother when conceived + the lunar month when conceived) * divided by 3. Ignore the number after the decimal point.

Result :

If the result is a single number, then it is a boy. A even number will be a girl.

Example :

Father's age when conceived is 30, Mother's age when conceived is 27 and the lunar month when conceived is 6. Put the three vaiables into the equation (30 + 27 + 6)/3 = 21, so it is a boy.

Method 3

Conception Time :

Baby conceived in an odd lunar month (1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, 7^th, 9^th, 11^th month)

Result :

If father's age at conception is an odd number and mother's age at conception is also an odd number, you will get a boy.
If father's age at conception is an odd number and mother's age at conception is an even number, you will get a boy.
If father's age at conception is an even number and mother's age at conception is an odd number, you will get a girl.

Conception Time :

Baby conceived in an even lunar month (2^nd, 4^th, 6^th, 8^th, 10^th, 12^th month)

Result :

If father's age at conception is an even number and mother's age at conception is also an even number, you will get a girl.
If father's age at conception is an odd number and mother's age at conception is an even number, you will get a girl.
If father's age at conception is an even number and mother's age at conception is an odd number, you will get a boy.

Example :

Baby conceived in the 4^th lunar month, when the father's age is 30 and the mother's age is 28. It is a girl.

The above methods may help you to conceive your chosen baby gender somehow. To get an even higher successful rate, choosing the right diet and using the right intercourse position are all necessary.
