Common Gender Prediction Methods that you can do it at home.
Boy or Girl ? Throughout human history, many parents have a gender preference for their baby. In the study, which published in the March 2005 issue of the international journal "Fertility and Sterility", indicated that most women who already had children desired to use gender selection method(s) to balance the gender composition of their family.
In old days, different countries had different ways to predict the gender of baby once a woman was pregnant. In ancient Greece, people believed that the baby should be a boy if north wind was blowing when conceived. South wind would get a baby girl. In Babylon, the appearance of moon halo at conceiving night was the main determination of boy or girl. In Nepal, tribal people still believe that they can get a baby boy if the baby is conceived on odd calendar days!
In modern times, although ultrasound scan could be the most simple but accurate way to find out the sex of unborn babies, it does cost you some money. Besides, the sex of the baby can not be determined by ultrasound, until the 14 weeks of pregnancy.
Other than the Chinese Gender Chart and its alternatives, there are some folk methods that help you to find out the gender of your baby. They are all free and some could be very accurate.
- Wedding Ring Pendulum
Simply put your wedding ring on a chain or piece of string. Hold it over your belly and watch the motion. If the ring moves in a circle pattern, the baby should be a girl. If the ring swings in a side to side pattern, then the baby should be a boy.
- Drain Cleaner
Mix the unrine of the pregnant woman with a teaspoon of drain cleaner.
Girl - green, Boy - blue / dark brown.
- Body Physical Changes
- After pregnant, if the woman gain fat in the stomach area other than other parts of the body, she will give birth to a boy and vice versa.
- If the feet is not swollen during the early pregnancy and it’s swollen in the later stages, it wwill give birth to a boy.
If the feet is swollen during the early pregnancy and it’s not swollen in the later stages, it will give birth to a girl.
- If the face turn ugly and skin turn dark, it will give birth to a boy, if the face turn pretty or skin unchanged, it will give birth to a girl.
- If the navel is protruding, it will be a boy, if not, it is a girl.
- If the pregnancy line (stretch mark) is towards the left side of the belly button, is a straight fine line, direct between the two breasts, and the entire pregnancy line is shallow and light, it is male, if vice versa, it is female.
- If the breast has a rapid development, it is a female. If vice versa, it is a male.
- If the axillary turns dark, it is female. If not, it is male
- If the areola is small and turns dark, it is female. If the areola is big and does not turn dark, it is male.
- If the belly is soft, it is female. If the belly is hard, it is male.
- Basketball shape belly is a boy. Watermelon shape belly is a girl.
- If the waistline is thick, it is female. If the waistline is slim, it is male.
- If the left hand pulse is strong, it is male. If the right hand pulse is strong, it is female. (Note: only valid for at least 3 months pregnant)

- Other Body Changes
- Like to eat sour and salty will give birth to a boy, like to eat spicy and sweet will give birth to a girl.
- Earlier than due date is a boy, later than due date is a girl.
- After pregnancy, if the sexual desire becomes stronger, it is male. If the sexual desire is unchanged or becomes weaker, it is female.
- During the pregnancy, if the person is hardworking and mental status is good, it is a male. If the person is lazy and has a poor mental health, it is a female.
- Has a good appetite, it is male. If vice versa, it is female.
- During the late pregnancy stage, if seen from behind, one can’t see pregnancy sign and the action is agile and flexible, it is male. If vice versa, it is female.
- During the early morning hours, mix the urine with medical alcohol; if it turns red, it is male. If there is no change, it is female.
- If the amniotic fluid is more, it is a female. If the amniotic fluid is less, it is a boy.
- During the ultrasonic scan of the baby face is facing outwards, it is a male and if inwards, it is a female.

- Other Possible Indicators
Boy
- Prefer high protein foods, such as meat and cheese
- Cold feet especially in winter
- Leg hair grow faster and more body hair
- Hands often feel very dry
- Looks more beautiful
- Nasal holes look bigger than normal
- May always feel headache
- Baby born before expected delivery date
- Protruding belly button
- Dream about tiger, sports, sheep.
- Baby is being carried low in the mother's womb
Girl
- While both sides of the breast grow much much bigger than normal, left breast will be bigger than right breast
- Like to drink orange juice
- Like to eat fruit
- Looks uglier than normal
- Bad temper
- The face looks bigger than normal
- Baby born at or after expected delivery date
- Swollen feet
- Pregnant mother will turn lazy during pregnancy
- Baby is being carried high in the mother's womb
